How to switch Wi-Fi on/off as needed?
I am about to switch to Fizz and do not want to use the Wi-fi on the regular basis. In fact only my son would need it once in a blue Moon. I have seen answers how to deactivate Wi-Fi through bridge mode, but is there any other, simpler and faster way to switch between On/Off mode? This particular modem does not have physical button for switching, seems like a major draw back for me. Would it be easier to use external router and bypass the original module altogether?

Hi Mico,
There is an official Fizz app ( Android / Ios ) that can easely help you out with your need to turn on or off Wi-Fi. ( this being the fastest way to do it ).
Of course there is always the web interface to manage everything and also turning off or on the Wi-Fi (192.168.0.1 <- default address (router) / also reachable with 192.168.100.1 (modem side) ).
Don't forget you can get 25$ back with the referal program, if you need one let me know

Thanks, anything else other than app? Does not seem practical at all in this household.
Three people with phone apps taking care of Wi-Fi...one with less than basic app skills.
Way too complicated.8 -
Here is the answer for your question as described by FIZZY
Wifi access can be controlled by each device or for specific websites.
Go to 168.192.0.1 and logon cusadmin with your wifi password.
At the top green bar, click on the "Wireless" tab. Go to "Access Control", where you can block devices by mac address.
At the top green bar, click on the "Security" tab. Go to "Device Filter" where you can manage the devices by day and time.
At the "Security" tab, go to "Keyword Filter" where you can block certain keywords or url address by day/time.

Hi Mico,
There are only a few ways to close wifi of the Fizz modem.
1. Through the app.
2. Directly by logging onto "192.168.0.1" At the top green bar, click on the "Wireless" tab. At that point, you can turn off the 2.4G wifi and/or the 5G wifi.
3. Unplugging the modem or installing a smart plug can turn off the internet for everyone.
@vanigh, nice answer btw!7
