If you have a mobile phone number from Quebec province or Ottawa area and is not a company's number and you do not have any unpaid amount you must be able to transfer
https://fizz.ca/en/faq/activation-how-do-i-transfer-my-current-phone-number-to-fizz
Important to know
- Only mobile numbers coming from the province of Quebec or the Ottawa region can be transferred.
- Only numbers from the Fizz subscription area can be transferred to Fizz. If your number starts with an area code outside the subscription area, your number cannot be transferred.
- It is not possible to transfer an administrative phone number — for example, a number associated with an organization or public institution.
- It is currently impossible for us to transfer phone numbers that are associated with landlines and VOIP.
- Your current provider could prevent your number from being transferred. It’ll be impossible to transfer a number that has anti-port protection — a security feature that prevents numbers from being transferred. Your current provider could also block the transfer of your number if you don’t pay your last bill with them.

Why you couldn't? if your actual number a mobile number and not a business number, everything would be fine7

Hello Danny,
In my understanding if you have a phone number in Québec, you'll be automatically able to port your number, be sure to get your account number from your carrier to speed up the transfer.
It works fine online

Most likely you can, but contact Fizz support to make sure.5

Thank you all for the replies. I meet all the criteria for the transfer (Quebec number, line still active). My concern is..... "Your current provider could prevent your number from being transferred"......this is what I want to avoid. That's why I would like to know before rather than later if my number could be ported.6

If you are porting from voip.ms , Fizz will ne be able to do it and you'll have to get a new Fizz number. That's what happened to me (and my 514 number :-( )

I think that you can port your number from any mobile carrier, so long as you have a quebec number. So, unless your number is from a landline or VOIP you should be okay.3
