is fizz-ext still experiencing issues
i see a few within the last year there were reports of being connected but not working
this is my exact reason for leaving freedom
it seems that if the roaming partner (usually rogers)
they decide you are in an area that should have coverage then nothing works
even though you are connected so sometimes you dont even know and calls, text, data not working
i just want to make sure this is not an issue with fizz, (anymore that is) can someone please confirm

Patrick,
Roaming in partners network dont seem a problem for Fizz users.
The only thing, if you dont have access to the LTE of Fizz, your only choice will be the roaming with Fizz's partners.
Respect the limit of using (occasionnaly)less than 50% of your usage of partner's network.9 -
I’ve never experienced any problems so far.I really like Fizz!9

Are any of you in the Ottawa area. Ottawa is in Ontario but the entire greater Ottawa area is services by fizz and Vidéotron. Just wondering how well it works there for fizz client.7

You may need turn on/off airplane mode if you are in rural Ottawa . Otherwise it has 5 bar signal but no mobile data.8

Ottawa and Gatineau area works fine as if you were in Quebec, what is your plan Quebec only or Canada wide?7
-
The plan I am getting is Canada wide which includes roaming if needed. But I understand that Quebec includes Ottawa. Just want to make sure if it goes ext roaming while in area that it will still work as expected. Anyone from Ottawa area that can comment on their experience?6

Hi Patrick, I'm in Ottawa (Barrhaven) and it works perfectly fine2

I am in Findlay Creek and it is the best signal I have had - better than Bell and Rogers and Wind. I have done a 1 week trip to the US and had full LTE in cities and anywhere populated. I had no problem roaming on AT&T and TMobile (I think - mostly ATT) networks and of course my Fizz US and Canada plan means there were no roaming or other extra charges.
I have not yet seen EXT in the Ottawa area but I have not been past Manotick or gone anywhere very rural yet.3
