Yes you need to configure the APN

You need to configure your APN on your phone.
It must be done if you want that your plan works.

Your phone likely does not have the APN configured
The setting for fizz are as follows
APN: mobile.bm
MMSC: http://mms.mobile.bm
MMS proxy: mmsproxy.mobile.bm
MMS port: 80
APN type: default,mms,supl4
