I have left over credit from referral bonuses, will that pay for a data add on?

No, the referral is used only to pay the bill of your first plan4

Data add on need to be paid on the spot when you order it.
the credit of referral only gets applied at the next payment cycle so you will not be able to apply it to your addon2 -

The referral code is used only for new activation plan and given after your second payment.
Sorry, you need to pay your add-on immediately when you order it.2 -
Referral credit can be used only to pay the bill of your primary plan.
You have to use your (registered) credit card to purchase add-ons, add money to your wallet, etc.
