When i make a phone call it says im in the USA when im in canada

When i make a phone call from canada with a (438) phone number, it appears that im from USA. I LIVE in Canada and make calls IN canada. Ever since i got a FIZZ phone number it says i call from USA and im in USA...???? PLEASE HELP

Were you calling from very close to the USA borders?
Do you have a Canada -US coverage? If so you might receive signals from US towers.13 -

This is apparently a known issue which has happened in the past. Not sure why it's still happening. Might be worth contacting chat yourself to see if they have any updates.

When did you activate your plan and how long have you had your phone number?
It is possible your number is part of a new set of recently released numbers, meaning they are not yet recognized as belonging to Montreal area in Canada.
The important question is are you receviing your calls and able to send/receieve text? Are others able to call you without having to call long distance?
If you are not attached to your number, you can request a number change by logging on your Fizz account.
If it poses a problem, you can contact Fizz support for help.
If you wait, the issue may resolve itself.
