Why leader points do not equate with account points?

I presently show about over 1800 points in my account, and shows that I am at Level two for a couple of days now. On the leader board, I can see 1.5K points, and am still at level 1/5. Is there a delay with point accumulation or tallying in the leader board?

I think they are different. One is the reward program, the other is your level in this hub Apprentice 1/5

The apprentice level 2 is given at one month the others are givens in lot

they are not linked with the point but with the time

in 6 months you will have all the levels
Only the hero are linked with the best answers

Leader board has zero value. Don't pay attention to it, you're wasting your time.

@Mike When you say that the levels are given after a certain period of time, do you mean “absolute” time, as in, it is counted since you became a member? Or is it actual time spent in the Community Hub?

It looks like the community points are a subset of the account points.

Same with your community level, it usually falls behind your account level.

What seems to be important is your account level and points, because those determine what upgrades you qualify for and the number of slots you have.

The community level and points are earned based on your involvement in the community forums.

You get points for community hub related things (posting, kudos, board related badges) which appear on the leader board, and for account related things (referrals, account badges, paying your bill) which do not appear on the leaderboard, but do count toward levelling up in your account.

Exaclty what Allison said. It's just that the account points and community hub (leader) points are a bit different. The account points show the total amount of points you have (including the "leader" points) while the "leader" points only show the points earned through community hub (activities).

Now when it comes to the level (Apprentice 1/5) I honestly don't understand how the system works. But I think its different for everyone. Me and someone else started participating in the community hub at almost the same time (this month) I participated/accumulated more points than the said person but I'm still at Apprentice 1/5 while the other person has already reached higher level (status) .. So yah idk

It’s true that the leaderboard status has no real value. But I understand how Sometimes it can become a bit obsessive-triggering to see potential levels and not be able to get them quickly
