Now that the long term prices are officially out, what do you think?
Do you find them too high? Low? Fair? Competitive enough ?

Too high when you consider Fizz has none to very little customer support.20

With Videotron now offering a promo of 2 free months for the 8Gb plan, Videotron is cheaper for 8Gb than Fizz at $55/month - 2 free months = $46/month avg. over 12 months. Plus it has VOLTE.18

Some plans are a bit on the high side. Fizz is still a young company. I think Fizz will make slight adjustments to mobile prices from time to time.
When they came out with the regular Internet prices, they ended up making some slight adjustments as well.

I think it was a big jump, not like an extra 2 bucks but an extra 8 bucks, I think it should go up gradually not a giant leap. It loses incentive to stay on. Like maybe if it went up by 3 bucks would've made more sense, just my opinion.20

Um. I glad I signed up with Fizz a long time ago? Compared to koodo or fido, they're competitive. Compared to lucky or public mobile, the prices aren't as good, but fizz offers other advantages--4G, rollovers, earning upgrades, US/Can plans at multiple usage levels.18

Some of the data plans are priced way too high in my opinion. Since you can get way better prices for them with others companies.18

I think we need to think about mobile plans in general. Fizz offered us great price at the beginning to compete against other companies. But now the competition is now "normal". Every mobile plan's price is close to each other. And Canada has still one of the most pricing services.17

Competing low budget services typically don't offer LTE or only limited LTE. But their plans might be more attractive now, taking customers from Fizz despite comparables Rewards programs. It would be nice to have eSIM support and VoLTE for Fizz as an extra incentive to subscribe.15

The launch prices were great, stabilization prices were amazing. These regular prices aren't spectacular when compared to other companies.11

The monthly rates are high, but Fizz has some of the cheapest roaming outside of the US. Most other prepaid services don't have any roaming options. Also, most services charge by the day, which can add up on a long vacation.11

I do think they are somewhat high for the type of service and for the target audience. I hope competition will help settle the price.10

That is a fantastic chart you’ve made Mike. I agree with the main train of thought. Prices as perhaps not as competitive as they could. But I think it’s still worth it to put our money behind a new type of company mentality.9
