Did you activate roaming on your phone? Ignore the warning about the costs of data overages since Fizz is prepaid.
Sometimes I need to toggle airplane mode on and off when switching between Fizz and Fizz EXT networks to get it to register properly.9 -
I have Canada and USA and I can use data in Canada and usa.
Beware (we are normal users).
Check your data roaming in your phone
check also that the carrier is set in automatic and not manual
also be sure to have your phone configured for 3G et 4G not only 4GFor the chat bubble try to click on my link (you need to be logged in)

To note, this is the community forum, where regular Fizz users like you and I speak of our experiences with Fizz and help each other out as best we can. In order to get in contact with Fizz support, make sure you're logged into your Fizz account and on a Help screen during normal business hours. If all their techs are busy then the chat bubble won't appear. Note that you may need to log in to your Fizz account even if you're logged into the forum.
On your specific question, I've been able to use data in South West Ontario, in both the Niagrara region and Windsor.
I'm assuming that your APN settings are fine, since you're able to use data in Québec. Some people have reported that setting the phone in airplane mode for a minute or so and then turning it off kick starts things. Others have suggested dropping the phone to 3G mode instead of LTE works. I've had to do the latter once, but was ablt to connect to LTE shortly afterward. I believe whatever resolution works will depend on the partner networks available in your roaming zone.
Oh, and make sure roaming is enabled. Should have said that first, probably...
Best of luck.

Fizz works in all Canada9

If you have a Canada wide plan you should be able to, just turn on roaming. If ever it doesn't connect, try putting the phone on airplane mode for 30s.
If the bubble isnt popping up, make sure that you don't have any ad blockers enabled7 -
Hi
Thanks a lot for the help. I tried the airplane mode, gsm trick, enabled roaming, more airplane mode. Unfortunately nothing did it
I see I'm on Fizz Ext, service state in service but mobile network state disconnected. The phone works just fine (as in phone calls) it's just the data...
Ill try the link to contact them directly tomorrow during office hours.
Thanks again6 -

Hey Laurent, can you tell me if you were able to fix the problem because I had the same issue yesterday when I was outside of Quebec even though my plan covers all Canada. I'm going to travel a lot in the next few months so I'm probably going to switch to another company if there's no solution to this problem.6

Hi
Just to sum up and answer "Alpha" question, I was not able to fix that issue in the end. I tried the various workaround / idea but didn't work. Phone was fine, just no data.
Not sure if it's my phone / setup, you may not have that issue at all in the end.
Thanks for th help6 -
An alternative: if you have an esim enabled device, check out Airalo. You can get 1GB of data valid for 7 days for 3$.5

Airalo? looks interesting!
Just checked, $5 for 1GB/30 days, not $3, am I missing something? Thanks in advance for any reply.4 -
Yeah, airalo. Check if your phone supports eSIM as it is fairly new.
On Airalo web site, I see four packages for the USA:
(1) 1 GB - 7 days for 3$ US
(2) 3 GB - 30 days for 11$ US
(3) 5 GB - 30 days for 16$ US
(4) 10 GB - 30 days for 26$ US4 -
