Is this a new thing that you've just noticed, or has it been happening for a while? Was voicemail working before while you were on Fizz EXT?8

What do you mean by nor working?
Do you mean you can't access your voice mail or people can't leave you messages?
Can you make calls when on Fizz EXT?

Voice Mail settings are kept on Fizz's phone routing system and not related to your phone's condition or position.( On/Off or rooming). No need to reprogram!

Ok, if can't receive calls it means you are out of your plan coverage zone.
But incoming calls should still go to your voice mail.
Make sure to report this to Fizz.

I can receive calls but if I didn't ensure the phone or it's unreachable and its transfer to the voicemail the caller will her "welcome to fizz voicemail please enter your 10 digit phone number"5

Use these call forward codes to make sure calls are being forward to your the voice mail server number 1-514-647-0999
If it still does the same thing get to Fizz and open a service ticket.

I believe that if your plan doesn't include Canadian roaming and you're outside of Quebec then you can't make or receive calls (apparently including forwarding to voicemail on no answer) without some credit in your wallet to cover the pay per use fees. Is this possibly what you are experiencing?6

René D. I don't think you are correct about forwarding to voicemail. It's not treated any differently than any other form of call forwarding, I don't think. So it does matter where your phone is at the time of the call. This is how most networks operated in the past, so things could have changed or be different for Fizz, but I don't think they have.5

This is a known issue, please contact Fizz in order to accelerate a fix.

i have the same problem. I had a chat with Fizz the result is that my Phone is not compatible with Fizz/Videotron.
my phone Model is ZTE Z222 so whoever has this phone i guess would have the same problem.
to find out if your phone is compatible check via https://willmyphonework.net/. You enter the phone company, model number, country and provider Please choose Videotron, Fizz is not yet available.
if your phone is compatible, you have to connect manually thru your phone to Fizz Network,
Fizz EXT is not good enough0 -
