SMS - 2FA (2-factor-authentication)
I know it's an old issue with lots of posts, but was never solved and almost all of them are closed, except one:

Please scroll down and see my suggestion.
And Fizz, please don't close this one too until you solve it.
Thanks

Hey, the resolution for the problem is still a work in progress, hopefully it should be fixed by the end of the stabilization period.12
-
Are you working for Fizz?
If so, when this "stabilization period" will end?12 -
I know it can t replace the 2FA sms but i had to used this method lately with Google and Apple and i asked for the code by phone instead of sms.
This way i still had another way around (for those that offer this method)15 -
Even this code by phone didn't use to work with PayPal, but I checked it 5 min ago and it worked this time. WOW! Until now I was able to use only the method of the two secret questions, but not everybody has that option set in their account.11

Like @Sergio said. Ask them to call you for the code or use authenticator apps. Fizz is still working on fixing that. Apparently they have to do each service one by one...12

That I understood it too back in November 2018, I think, when this became a major problem for many customers (remember, it used to work for a while), but why it didn't start with major companies like PayPal, Google, TD, etc, why it take so long and why such poor explanations, these are very hard to understand for me any many others like me.
Also, like I said in my initial post, why Fizz didn't provide at least a list of these companies and their current periodically updated status???8 -
No Robert, I have no relation with Fizz. I've been a member of theirs almost since they started, but I am not a staff. On their website it says the stabilization period could last up to a minimum of 3 months.7

Thanks Chris for the update.
For now I'm still waiting for my more detailed answer to be posted because was censured by Fizz.6 -
OK, it looks it passed, is the one before the last one.6

Following this thread because it still really affects me and I am unable to fully transition until I know that I will be able to access my most critical accts - the only ones that use 2FA, like cc, banking, etc. My Brim Mastercard still doesn't work.
According to the Fizz the stabilization period will be until at least July. If the stabilization period ends without 2FA resolved, I will be unable to continue with Fizz. Right now, I'm paying for 2 carriers because I can't trust Fizz yet. While it was in beta, it was alright but now having to pay almost normal prices, I can't justify it much longer.9 -
Hi, just chiming in with the rest, 2FA is still not working, at least for those that I've tried namely CIBC credit card activation and Google login verification. I'm a new Fizz subscriber but I understand that this has been an issue since the beginning and I keep reading that Fizz is working hard on it, but Google and CIBC are not small obscure entities, why does it take this long to get them working? I'm starting to believe 2FA will never work on Fizz or at least not soon enough to matter.8

I think it's helpful, as PP did, to list what isn't working so others know, and what's working too. Seems like Fizz is unable to maintain an updated list so maybe we will have to do it the crowdsourced way...LOL!
Yesterday, Yahoo's 2FA worked for me. I care more about the financial ones but it might be important to others.
cheers,

WOOOW !!! EUREKA! PayPal is working too! But the questions remain: how many others are not and for how long?...8
-
Update: WeChat is working.
Air Canada is not - do not use sms for flight updates while travelling!8 -
FYI, 2FA for Breather.com is not working7

WealthSimple 2-factor is still not working7

And again PayPal didn't work today, I just don't get it !...7

All 2FA is broken for me now (TD, PayPal, etc)
WTF?!2 -
All 2FA is broken again for me too. I can't use TD which is super frustrating. Please fix your network or else a lot of people will leave very soon4
-
Just adding Microsoft and Github to the list of 2FA that doesn't work yet.2

Canadian tire is now working for me2

Not that I expect much out of Fizz on this, but namespro.ca 2FA isn't working and I have been locked out of my account for months now due to my stupid decision to move to Fizz.
.
For those saying "be patient this is the instability period" you should look at the history of this. Fizz has been promising for more than a year that this is a priority, being worked on and should be resolved soon. In fact, 7 months ago they said it should only take a few more weeks. Well 28 weeks later it still isn't fixed. Instability implies something is unstable (working/not working), I'm not sure something that never worked properly counts as unstable.9
