There is no pause feature available with Fizz. The closest is an account with minimum options, which is still about $8 + tax per month.
.
To close the account, go into your fizz account, then "my plans," "manage plan," and choose unsubscribe. Follow whatever instructions pop up at that point.
.
To save the number, you'd either have to pay the minimum per month, or port it out to another provider.9 -
You can terminate the service whenever you want, but once you terminate it, Fizz is no longer responsable for your number, and it will become available to whoever wishes to take it.
You need to open a port transfer with your new provider for them to get the number from Fizz, and as a result, you don't lose your number. When the transfer is complete, you can then cancel Fizz after7 -
Fizz has no contract.
Port it to fongo. And save number. No monthly fee.7 -
Hello friend
You will just pay the 5$ for the sim with fizz.
To transfer your number just do this:
1. Click Transfer a number to Fizz.
2. Enter your phone number in the field that opens up below.
3. Use the drop-down to choose your previous provider.
4. Enter your previous provider’s account number or your phone’s IMEI# in the field below. Find your account number on your bill. Dial *#06# on your phone to get your 15-digit IMEI number. Only the IMEI phone number used at your current provider will allow the transfer. If the number is more than 15 digits long, enter only the first 15 digits.
5. Click Next, review your first monthly plan payment and click Submit.4 -
There is no contract. Cancel when you want. Don't cancel if you want to transfer your number to another provider.4

Unfortunately, this community taught me that you can't really pause the plan So there is no way to keep the number without paying the minimum amount of 8$/mo.7

I think Fizz charges 8$/mo to have your line active. It is basically the base amount in which you get nothing but an active line. I spoke to customer service and it might be in their future plan to allow temporary pause to payments for vacation purposes but they couldn't specify the timeline for this.3

No you can't suspend the service. And if you change your plan, you might loose your price

Either 8$ to pause the service or port out to another provider.0
