Once you sign up for Fizz internet, around how many days does it take to get the modem and do the installation yourself?

I also picked my date. In my case, it was 3 days. Faster is better to get rid of my previous ISP6

You set your own installation date. Once you're signing up, you will see the option to choose an appointment date. The Videotron technician will come deliver the router directly to your door. Prior to the delivery, they usually call you to make sure you are home. They will also make sure you know what you're doing before handing you the modem. If you choose to have the installation done by the technician, you can always choose to pay the 30$ and ask them for help.
If you are familiar with coaxial cables / modems, you won't have any trouble setting it up. The instructions are very straightforward. The only issue you might run into is effy wifi signal, and you'll have to change some channels yourself in order to find the best channel for you.

mine took 2~3days. I subscribed on a Friday and was able to get the appointment on the Monday. I opt for self installation. The videotron tech came on Monday with the modem package and verify the line. I install the modem myself. Pretty easy to do the setup. no additional charges.1
