I cancelled my phone plan with chatr before I ordered sim cards and I want to keep the same number

I cancelled my chatr plan today, but I didn’t receive my Fizz Sim cards yet, can I keep the same phone number even if it said NOT to cancel the phone plan ( P.S. : I didn’t know we needed to not cancel the phone plan before ordering from Fizz)

To keep your current phone number you must port your "Chatr" phone number to Fizz.
If you've canceled it then it then you can not port it and therefore can not keep your phone number.9 -
Sometimes providers put cancelled numbers on a "cancelled number bin" just in case. See with Chatr as soon as possible to see if they can re-active it. You'll have a pro-rated charge. Means that you'll don't have to pay a full month of service. Otherwise, I'm affraid it's too late...6

Its better to activate chatr number and then port to Fizz.. otherwise you have to choose new number.5

Re-activate your numbers with Chatr and then port them out to Fizz. Never cancel your accounts before porting out if you want to keep your number.6

Samwe thing happened to me with Videotron in my case.They were able to reactivate my number after 3 months so hope is not lost.6
