Unsubscribed, but my data still works ?

I unsubscribed my plan (because I want to get a new number by transferring an existing number from another carrier). The old number now does not work (good), but the data still works on my SIM. Not sure why the data is still working, and I now need to re-activate my SIM so I can transfer my existing number. I was told by two support people that I could do this. Not sure how. I could order a new SIM.

    Since it's prepaid, it will work until the end of the billing period.

    I agree with stéphane L.. You already paid for it so you have a right to use it.

    Agreed, thanks for the answers. The data did eventually stop working later in the day, when the service was fully cancelled, at the end of my billing cycle. The SIM card now shows an [x] on my cell phone.
    To follow-up ... the SIM card can now be re-activated and an existing number can be transferred to it ... but it does not work for Fongo (voip) numbers. There is a separate thread talking about Fongo.
