Activated sim, but phone number still active with other provider. help?

Hi, bought 3 sims, 2 of them activated and works fine. Last one got activated, but doesnt seem to work. I tried keep the same number and forgot the person holding the number was not located in quebec currently. So the number is still active with previous provider and i also have the same number with fizz which i cant use. Is there any way to unsubcribe from it? What if the person/sim returns to quebec, will it switch automatically? Please help.

    Normally it takes some times to transfer the number by Fizz, does it work right now?

    It seems like you are just describing the regular limbo state you go into when you try to port your phone number with any provider. It can take a while sometimes, and if you made a typo at all it's quite possible the port will fail and you'll stay in limbo while whoever currently has the phone with the previous provider's sim will continue using it as though nothing has happened - which is precisely the case as far as the previous provider is concerned.
