So I just subscribed to the Fizz home internet service. I am paying 40$ with tax included and so far speedtest says I am getting 67Mbps. So far so good!
Anyone else has any problems? What are the speeds you are getting?
I am curious and would like to know!

What was the fastest speed offered? I heard it was 120mbps but someone also said only 60mbps.48

They offered me 60 Mbps fastest speed too. I'm waiting to see if it's stable enough for me to switch haha. Did you have any problems yet?47

The max speed that you can get in the beta period is 60mbps. I have it and it works well! super stable as for now49

I'm curious to. I would like to have feedback of poeple who have internet.45

For those of you that got offered internet, what city do you guys live in? Any from montreal?45
-
Yep Montreal here43

There is no bad feedback regarding Fizz internet from beta testers in the forum.
So I presume that it's good in general.44 -
Yeah the internet is great, and I live in Montreal. Its a COAX cable so its WAY faster than the old DSL technology that I used to use. 60Mbps is the fastest speed at the moment however I consider it fast enough for me. With the old company I was with, I was paying for 50 however only receiving 25Mbps.
.
The only issue I have so far is that there aren't two WiFi connections. If I want to connect to a 5GHz band on my router, there's nothing. I would prefer to do that for my iPhone however I don't know if its possible. I checked the router settings and it is enabled however it doesn't show up on the connection settings.44 -
i'm curious and anxious to test it41

I'm in Montreal and had mine installed. Was simple, fast and easy. It works great but does anyone know if the beta-pricing will change like the phone for home internet?41
-
@Anthony R. I believe you get to keep your beta pricing forever as long as you don't change the plan.43

Have been using the home internet service 120mbps for a couple of months now. No issues other than the modem having WIFI issues. Connected a router to it and all is well. Speed is 130 Mbps at the moment42

Has anyone gotten home Internet from Fizz in the laurentians yet?39

That’s odd... how come I don’t have the 120Mbps option?38
-
Can you tell me how much time it took you after you subscribed to Fizz mobile that you got the invitation for Fizz home internet?37
-
I bought the sim card October 4th and activated it after the beta period November 22nd.37
-
They removed the 120mbps option. I don't know why. I am in Montreal.37
-
Well that sucks, I was hoping for 120M35
-
I wonder if the 120 option will be available soon in Laval34

I’ve had home internet for few days now and I’ve been fairly happy with it. Download speeds are fairly stable and there hasn’t been any major disruptions.
With that said, I am currently having 2 issues. The first is that when gaming, I can feel some lag sometimes, which I never felt when I had Videotron. The second is with issue to smart home accessories, I don’t know why that is but those connections aren’t stable at all. Perhaps a router update would help, perhaps not, I’ll update if anything changes.31 -
Which link are you able to subscribe to fizz internet?30

I wish I can have the beta tester's, Dono whom they invited29

Do they give you a modem?30
-
I have home internet for two weeks now.Speed is 68 Mb down and 11 Mb up any time of day.Very stable.I'm living in Montreal.31
-
I've had it for a while now and honestly it's great. The combined router/modem provides less clutter than Videotron's two units and in my apartment I have no power over distance issues. The whole apartment is covered by the signal.
Speed it perfect too. I think the internet will be easier and more successful than the mobile.30 -
@ Abraham S: yes they give you a combined modem/router
To add to my review, I am also on the island of Montreal30 -
Mine is great! The router component of the modem isn't super strong, but it's very easy to switch to your old router and just use the box as a modem. Consistently fast speeds. Very impressed.44

Consistent speed so far but i got a few disconnects ...not sure if it is related to my own set up with my own R7000 router. I've had this set up where all my connectivity and settings are driven by the R7000... This was I dont need to bother resetting everytime i get a new ISP.... It's been working great but ever since I upgraded my firmware for the router, i noticed sporadic disconnections...30
