Transfer my number to Fizz

I transferred my number and officially began the new service with Fizz, do I still need to call my old provider to stop the contract or Fizz stops the contract for me?

As part of the porting of your number, your contract will be ended with the other provider. You will still be billed up to the date of your port.6

No you dont need to advise them. But dont be surprise if the call you.5

No you don't need to contact them. They'll send you an email saying they're sorry to see you leave, bill you what you used for the ongoing month and add your balance if you had one.6

Nope, your previous plan is terminated automatically and your ex-provider will bill you what you used during your final billing period.
It's part of the porting process.5 -
