My LTE signal is finally back but the moment I call someone or someone calls me, the signal changes to 3G during the conversation. Is this happening to you too?

Fizz does not support voice over LTE, as such when you make a call it drops back to 3g. This is normal. VoLTE allows for wider band conversation, meaning better sounding voice calls.20

With VoLTE the call quality is much better, and your phone remains at LTE all the time, it doesn't need to switch to 3G to make calls. That's about it.
It's not a deal breaker for me.19 -

I hope they support it soon. It shouldn't be normal that they don't offer it yet.18

They have lots of modern cell network features missing, VoLTE, wifi calling, text message issues, ohhh and a stable network. Simply put, it's a budget service with budget price. If you need it for anything critical do not use.17

You will see no difference using calls in 2G, 3G, LTE.18

Knowing that fizz is a sub division of videotron and that videotron offers VoLTE I can only assume that it's a matter of time before that option arrives.14

AB B, that's my thinking as well. These other services will hopefully be slipped into operation after these current bugs are taken care of.13

I have been asked if I am making voice calls from a potato. This is my phone on fizz. My iPhone on Rogers sounds much better. My wife with the same phone on Bell sounds great too. The only difference I can see is that VoLTE feature missing.9

I've been getting a lot of complaints about sound quality as well. I hope VoLTE is in the plans, otherwise this is really a huge downgrade.9
