According to their network status page : (https://fizz.ca/en/faq/network-status) @ Saturday December 8th, 5:30 a.m.
"However, certain members will connect to 3G network today"
Do they know what today even means?
@whizz: For heaven's sake, update your page and let us know the ETA on when we can see LTE?

Given the lack of replies by Fizz here on the forums, it comes as no surprise that the only status change was to the timestamp of that "update" on December 9 at 8:15, over 24 hours ago. Obviously they should be giving updates more frequently than once a day. They're making the competition look good.15

Still on 3G as well (Montreal region)15

this is her frustrating when there is lack of info from fizz on when LTE will be back up and running14
-
My phone worked well yesterday, but all of sudden had no network connection again this morning around 7:40am at Ottawa downtown.
Is that only me or anyone else suffering the same?
Not AGAIN, FIZZ14 -
Agreed. At least tell us what is going on...Why? When?15
-
Maybe they figured stable 3G is better than unstable LTE?15

I'm also that certain member. Stuck on 3G.14

All folks I know that are on fizz have 3G, so for me its hard to believe its just some (small group of people). There is no way to know what % of subscribers are affected by this. Its very unprofessional, I feel. Very disappointed.
I am saving $10-$15 on my plan with fizz so its not an astronomical discount my any means. I keep asking myself is it worth to save that much for such bad service. I am sure most of us will answer a NO.6 -

I think I am still on 3G, my phone is showing H+. I am assuming H+ means 3G? and 4G+ means LTE?13

Remember we’re still in the launch phase and you knew it was not perfect. I know it could be frustrating but after December 19th, we’ll have more valuable reasons to complain!13
-
As long as I can make and receive call/text when needed and have data working, 3G speed is still acceptable for me. Anyone that is thinking to switch to Fizz, I would try 1st to call the current provider to see if they are willing to match Fizz's price. I know that FIDO will probably match the price. A friend just switch to Fizz a few days ago got a call from FIDO this morning trying to have him back with FIDO.14
-
Yes me too. Fido call me back and propose 25% off the 8Gig plan for the next 2 years. It was interesting at 36,75$ but I have too many friends that are switching to Fizz and we’re all waiting for the 25$ discount so I stayed. Also, the price is not only for 2 years!13

Maxime, in it's current state, this cannot be considered a launch phase with so many issues.
These issues in a beta stage would be understandable, especially if you are paying the Beta pricing, however many, including myself are paying the introductionary pricing, and the multiple issues are not acceptable.13 -
H+ is 3.5G.
We are still lucky fizz has a working network. Just have to be patient guys, Please dont expect premium service right of the bat.12 -
I understand and yes it should be better. If you cannot wait, call another service provider.
On my side, the 3g speed is fine and if it’s not fixed after the launch, I’ll reconsider.13 -
When will tech companies get it that consumers can be understanding when there are technical issues, and what we really want is communication! I have no problem with it taking a little time to iron things out, but keep us updated regularly!!14
-
Im still on BETA plan so i have nothing to complain about. I would be pissed though, if i paid 40$ plan and LTE didnt work ... there's a huge difference in terms of speed.
Im still stuck in 3G .........7 -
Launch phase should = everything up and running and ready to go. Fizz should have been in alpha test, which they called beta. Now this launch phase should really be beta.13
-
I'm still on 3G as well but can't even get data from the network, only calls and texts. It's like I went back in time 8+ years11

Still on 3G in Downtown MTL11

Fizz finally have a status update:
[Tuesday December 11th, 10:15 a.m.
Next week, Fizz will implement important corrective measures in order to address the instabilities that occurred last weekend. Until then, some members will only have access to the 3G/4G HSPA network.
Rest assured that we are working relentlessly to refine our systems. We regret any inconvenience this situation may have caused you, and thank you for your patience throughout this launch period.]7 -
I also have TODAY 12/12/18 3G7
