  • According to the coverage map, Fizz does not provide coverage in Kuujjuaq. That's likely the problem why it is not working.

  • This is not correct. You can port a Montreal number. I did so just yesterday. I used to be with Fizz but moved outside the subscription area. Yesterday I successfully signed-up again porting my Montreal number from Public Mobile to Fizz. My location is in the beta testing area. So it is possible. If in doubt, always reach…
  • That’s great news :)
  • A friend, who immigrated to Canada set up his mobile plan with Fizz. He signed-up for home internet with another company but they were delayed with installation. His father had an accident and ended up in hospital. I gifted my friend enough GB so he could make a FaceTime call home. Felt pretty good to be able to help :)
  • Maybe your modem has an issue? CODA modems are notorious for acting up. Personally I only use it in bridge mode with my own wifi router.
  • Have been waiting for a long time for the 200Mbps plan to come down. Thanks Fizz :)
  • Probably. I imagine they are testing it with a small number of people first to see how it works. I have an iPhone and it still switches to 3G whenever I call
  • Valid point. But generally my impression is that it overall drastically decreased, even with long-term users
  • Probably because they have not yet activated it on their network. Think about it. They cannot really do this now as many customers do not have a VoLTE SIM card yet. Once all customers have received their SIM card, they will probably switch over
  • About time! Fizz waited too long to implement this and many customers suffered the consequences for that. Why it took them so long to finally implement it (especially because it has been public knowledge for a long time that 3G networks are shutting down) is beyond me. Here's a data point: VoLTE did not work in Portugal…
  • I would suggest the same, restart the modem completely (or do a reset). If it doesn't work, contact Fizz support. Maybe there is something wrong with the connection.
  • Another thing Fizz should allow is to send data perks with only the referral code. Currently you need the phone number of the recipient.
  • That's actually a good idea. However, many users don't want their personal data to be shared, so maybe Fizz can implement it in a way that you just have a simple reply button but you don't see the personal details of the gifter.
  • So far no annulment in this regard. Personally, I don't think this is high on Fizz's priority. They focus on lower prices, mobile plans and home internet while Vidéotron caters to different needs.

  • The post by @Fizzaddict is quite good. It usually comes down to personal preference. I have the 120 plan and never experienced any speed issues and I have all my smart devices and gaming consoles in the same network.
  • I will send you some too. Hope it helps :) Did you point this problem out to Fizz support? They might be able to help you schedule an appointment earlier.
  • It could have something to do with the fact that the US is in the process to shut down their 3G network or it was simply a local issue. Can sometimes happen. Luckily I had never problems with data abroad :)
  • I cannot really follow your question. If you are looking for your Fizz number, you can either look in your phones settings or see it in the overview in your account
  • As the others have suggested, sometimes it’s a browser issues. Try to use a different one or switch from mobile to desktop (or vice-versa). Additionally you can make sure that any adblockers are deactivated :)
  • Montreal Downton, Mont-Royal and Westmount :)
  • Is it just me, or did Fizz hike the price of their mobile plans significantly? I mean this must be a display error. 12GB + Canada + Unlimited Minutes + Unlimited Text Messages + Voicemail = $65 I assume this must be a mistake because that makes them more expensive than their competitors.

  • Yes, I can confirm from first hand experience when I was home in Europe. People could leave me voice messages without any issues.
  • As mentioned, the best thing would be to reach out directly to customer support via live chat (My settings --> Contact Forms --> Green Chat Bubble). They will refund you the money. Hope this helps
  • Best to reach out to customer support via live chat (My settings --> Contact Forms --> Green Chat Bubble). They will be able to help you get a refund. Should you be in Quebec, you can also buy a SIM card at a participating Couche Tard location. Hope this helps :)

  • As mentioned. All calls are included whether they are incoming or outgoing. Also keep in mind that calls to your voicemail count towards the minutes too (in case your phone doesn't support visual voicemail)
  • Salut, Modifier le profil --> Emplacement :)
  • Yeah, I agree with you. Fizz significantly cut down on the incentives for members to join and/or stay with Fizz. When they implemented the changes in the forum, many long-term users actually stopped being active as it wasn't worth it anymore. At the beginning Fizz promised they would add more point-earning-options to the…
  • I don't think that employees of either Fizz or Videotron are at liberty to discuss this. As you yourself said, these are mere rumours and nothing is official yet. It hasn't even been officially announced that Rogers will have to spin-off Freedom Mobile (however, it is likely they will be required to do so). The only thing…
  • I believe you have to switch first to a mobile plan. I don't know whether this is possible on Fido's side. Also keep in mind that you can only transfer Quebec numbers or number with an Ottawa area code ( for example you would not be able to transfer a number staring with 647). Hope this helps :) Also don't forget to use a…
