  • Hi Sylvieb, Some does participate A LOT on this Community and even some go for quantity over quality to get more points! Cheers
  • Hi jade, Ths is mostly because your home address is NOT in Videotron's database address for service. Best options , contact either Fizz or Videotron to ask them to put your address in their system to be able to order services! P.S. Videotron network can be present in any area but not yet in the DB, especially since you are…
  • Hi Carole09, Congrats!! 1 more kudo for your next level :0)
  • Hi Niamitch, Fizz Home Internet service uses Videotron Internet and Network , the Port 80 (IN 25 (SMTP) 80 (HTTP) 135 (DCOM) 137-138-139 (NETBIOS) 161-162 (SNMP)) are blocked by default for security reasons by Videotron for years now ! Cheers!
  • @Fizzy although the link you provided implies status is for all services , there is no way to know if there is an outage for Internet and where it is unless it is major , not even Videotron as such webpage. The only way to know for sure is to contact support, either Fizz or Videotron. Cheers!
  • Also quick reminder on how to set up Fizz Wifi Modem! https://fizz.ca/en/faq/how-install-my-wi-fi-modem
  • Hi Henry, Fizz uses Videotron network, so the best way to know if there is an outage is either to get in contact with Fizz support or try to call Videotron support and ask if there is an outage in your sector. Hope this helps . Cheers
  • Hey Whizz, Thank You Fizz Team for the opportunity to let us (users) give you some feedback on such topic, but wouldn't it be more efficient to also sent out an email to all your Home Internet service subscribers to have a more wider and effective survey ? :0) Thanks again! Cheers.
  • @Joseph Did you always had this behavior with the Hitron/Coda Modem since the begining ? is the Hitron in bridge mode and are you using a router ? Again the "line" in between Videotron's infrastructure and your cable Modem ( Hitron) is always on , always alive !
  • Hi Joseph, The trouble sounds more to be coming from Windows having issue resuming from being Idle !! Cable Modem are an "always on " type of connection in between hardware ! Hope this helps . Cheers!
  • Hello, Since the begining of Fizz Internet with the Hitron-Coda after first time plugged to power it has done an update of firmware, the Software Version = 2.0.10.43b8 !!! Now show me where in that UI , you can configure Subnetting Networks or Vlans…
  • Hi Carolyn, Have yourself a nice little chat with Fizz to confirm this but I don't see why they would not deliver a Sim card to any address covered by their services Just make sure to put the service address and delivery address accordingly. https://fizz.ca/en/faq/how-do-i-order-sim-card ( Once you are logged in at bottom…
  • Hi Catherine, Don't hesitate to ask if you need any more data Fizzers will respond and help! Least we can do :)) PM if you need any more data , even in a week or so :) Thanks to you !! Cheers! Stay Safe!
  • Hi re_ource3, Steady blue lights on the Downstream arrow and Upstream arrow on the Hitron-Coda means that the connection is linked ( meaning Mac handshake and applying the speed Plan you pay for ) and stable in between Modem and Routers and Servers from Videotron's Pool from different Cells ( aeras ). Usually the color…
  • Hi Gary , Have you checked the availability of the address directly through Videotron ?? http://www.videotron.com/residential/internet/residential-internet#/! ( click on Check service availability at bottom of page to the right of phone number ). If the main address appears but not your particular apt # , it simply means…
  • Hi FC, You could also turn Wi-Fi off on your phone and use your data allowance to free up bandwidth on Fizz Internet depending your typical usage of course for other users/ connected devices. Just a thought. Cheers.
  • Hi Peter, You would need a Canada+USA plan since it is a US number. Cheers
  • Hi Riccardo, No he won't "run" a second coax cable from outside but rather use the one already for the television like other said will split the line with a splitter and then connect tv and Modem. You could ask the technician from Videotron if he is willing to install a new outlet somewhere else in your house for you since…
  • Sarah ! You need to contact support , this is a technical issue from Fizz Network. One year ago it was a known issue from Fizz (as it can be seen on related questions to the right) ( link: https://community.fizz.ca/questions/1913128-438-montreal-number-shows-distance-usa-number-everyone ). Contact support and let them know…
  • Hi Pascal, There is an easy solution for this , simply use the official FIZZ app ( Android / Ios ) , once setup , simply click on any device you'd like to control the access to Wi-Fi , onto the next tab ( Device Information ) under Bedtime schedule edit time and days and you're good to go :)
  • Hi Mico, There is an official Fizz app ( Android / Ios ) that can easely help you out with your need to turn on or off Wi-Fi. ( this being the fastest way to do it ). Of course there is always the web interface to manage everything and also turning off or on the Wi-Fi (192.168.0.1 <- default address (router) / also…
  • Effectivement , si Videotron et Fizz partage le meme reseau techniquement au niveau administratif ce sont deux systemes de facturation totalement differents! Donc une carte Sim par Compagnie !
  • Yes the MAC address comes from the APR servers and is used to authenticate ( connect the hardware with the profile of account ) But before the days of the routers built in modems, by doing a hardware reset of the MODEM and plug an ethernet port to a new MAC Address you would obtain a new MAC address from the POOL of IPs…
  • Hi roberto ! The lease of an IP address from Videotron is dynamic ( like DHCP it is associated with a MAC address ) so a little trick, change or clone a MAC address and the WAN IP ( from Videotron ) will most certainly change. Just rebooting the CODA won't do it , there is no chance the IP address will obtain a new lease…
  • Hi Frédéric, Do you get some type of message AP isolation must be disabled ? is it Chromecast type related ? To answer your question, there is no options for such settings in the Hitron ! The solution for you is to use a third-party router and put the Hitron into bridge mode.…
  • The prices after the stabilization period ended October 17th are still very competitive especially if you tailor fit your plan to your needs !
  • Sorry to hear that ! But this is exactly why it is a good idea to always have an alternative to 2FA such as, another email or second phone number , even better an authenticator ! Hope you guys can sort it out!
