Hopefully...must be an easy fix with a new firmware. Or may be we are guinea pigs for beta firmware testing. :D

The modem firmware seems not to work properly while having wifi on. Someone suggested that it is because the firmware installed is a beta version. After turning of the wifi and connecting my router...i have much more stable internet.

In the building I leave the network is owned by videotron. I wouldn't be surprised if they are making the issues on purpose. Before taking a plan with videotron I was with CIK which I had even worse slowdowns then with Fizz. I hoped that Fizz being a sister company, everything will be fine with the speed but apparently…

Before fizz i didn't even needed to run the speed test because everything was smooth even with the 15mbs. Now I have 60bms but sometimes it won't even open a page in a reasonable amount of time.

I am not sure if it is the modem or the network because the speed is not stable from day 1. Some time i get 60, some times 2.5mbs for downloads and the upload jumps around during the test. With Videotron both speeds always stable.

I am on Fizz internet for a couple of days and my internet was more stable with Videotron 15mbs then with 60mbs. I never had times when a page would not load before with much lower speed. I am thinking to switch back to Videotron.

I have coaxial and the slowdowns from CIK were at a specific our every day. So from about 6 pm to 10pm as stated in the email they sent me AFTER I subscribed, I was not able to watch ip tv and some times not even open a page.
