I remember at one point fizz had a bug on there website where referrals were not showing up.. but it was a website bug which was fixed later on and referrals re-appeared. ASK support to see if your account still shows that referral if not may be the person you refereed is no longer with fizz now.

try a hard reboot. also once it rebooted and you still dont see network try scanning for network under your settings to see if it shows any network in there.

It's better to create separate accounts to get bonus credit and later once you have used your referral bonus towards your bill, you can call fizz to make it a join account.

so far what i found is they will credit you for 2 years but not sure 100% better ask CS.
