I’m asking myself the same question. When my phone service is down for the better part of 4 days in two weeks is it worth the frustration? Fortunately I usually have my work phone with me as well. 2GB of data as compensation when I already had enough to start with is useless.

Just came back from the States. For the extra $6 if you can add it to your plan, having roaming data is totally worth it. Came in handy more than once when I got lost. Based on the reliability of the service, my guess is that the introductory period is going to be quite a bit longer than advertised. It'll be hard to attract customers when the network doesn't appear to be stable yet. For $5 price of a SIM card it's definitely worth the gamble. I love not having to worry about going over…

Same thing happened to me. Try restarting your phone and resetting your network settings. Settings-General-Reset-Reset Network Settings.

In agreement with the last poster. My guess is that Fizz hasn't enabled this feature, ergo the text messages, which I find quite a bit more useful, as they tell you when the voicemail was left.
