Chicken and horse sashimi, fermented fish with millet (raw), pork brain, chicken testicles, pufferfish, frog, snake, fish sperm sack. I love them all! I cook pig ears, chicken heart and ferment natto by myself on a regular basis. I never regret trying new food as long as it’s safe to eat.

Mix crushed century eggs, garlic, chili, cilantro, soy sauce and some vinegar or lime. Serve on rice or noodles. Or make some congee with crushed century egg and any protein of your choice.

Wow. That’s a lot of cities. I highly recommend plan ahead and book for places to save some time. And keep your luggage empty! You can buy tax-free uniqolo clothes immediately and the price is way cheaper. I filled up one luggage in a 20 hour transit in Tokyo last with a rice cooker, some clothes and food.

Which city you will visit in Japan? I recommend you look for some nice restaurants online and book for business lunch, such as omakase and sushi. The price could be halved. Dorayaki from Lawson is a must try too!

Taiwan high speed rail. It uses a mix of Japanese and European control system. Current trains are 700T, new trains will be N700S. HSR was a major reason why there are almost no more flights between major cities. It’s less than 70CAD for the whole route without discount. Around 4 trains per hour at major cities.

Honestly, I think it will be very difficult to build any public transportation nowadays. My country started develop HSR project in the 70s, then eventually started operation in 2007 for only 350 km. Recently, there is a new plan to purchase new trains from Japan, but the cost is extremely expensive.

I usually only buy essentials from supermarket. I seldom pay GST most of the time. Personally, I hope cleaning supplies can be added to the GST free list.
