yes, we see this already in many jobs or on the phone help lines, ai first and then when needed, sent to a human to solve… if possible. Coders are also being replaced..yet the schools claim lots of jobs…not.

Really? In my observance, it is just those areas that are ripe to be picked up by basic human robots. Conversation, tidy, cook and tuck in jobs are no problem for new robots. And they don't complain(yet). Expensive yes. But if you think about an old age home, the orderlies could be robots. That is 3/4 of your labour bill.…

Warm today, so skated on an outdoor park rink. Still fun but no danger.

I found my plan was claiming to be cheaper but my bills are always higher. For example paid for Ontario only yet was and am being charged for Canada wide.

I agree some creative jobs may linger, but paint, sculpture, music and even film have all been done well by ai.
-
What job is AI/robot proof? Nothing. The singularity is or was now. The only thing stopping it is mass implementation. Imagine the whole world without electricity or oil. How long before we succumb to disease and starvation. It is also an ace in the hole, AI is an energy hog. Life is beautiful

Was on the water last night…felt thick enough. Saw lots of skate marks... Will add some more tomorrow.

So now that the loser is stepping down, Canada has a terif challenge. Fizz is quiet because it is hard to project profits when costs may go up hugely.
-
I'm thinking quiet because plans are in the air till we see what Trump and Poliviere will do.
-
I'm not sure if small companies can survive without spending more than they earn as a startup , but some do in hopes of getting bought out. But the owners get a little richer, and the employees get laid off, and the consumers get absorbed into bigger plans costing more.

Maybe for a good reason?

When I was 16, I bought a used windsurfer, a Tiga1 beginner board. Still have it. Surfed many storms to have fun. We all start somewhere. Good for you.
-
That is on Lake Huron. A lot of kite boarders love this place for it's shallow bays and little boat traffic with nice winds.

Turns out the river is as shallow as 10m and shipping going through the locks are maxed at 8m of draft. But still deep enough to get into a whole heap of trouble if not careful.

They can be a money pit, so start small. But yes lots of fun.
