Forget the WiFi network (long press your WiFi network SSID under WiFi settings option) you're having issues with, and try connecting again with your password.

As @Jonathan pointed out, your phone doesn't support AWS frequencies (for 3G/4G/LTE) required for Fizz to operate for Home coverage. You're probably roaming off of Rogers that does support your phone (migrating from Chatr).

I had AT&T as well, while in New Orleans and surrounding areas. Mostly, LTE+ (Band 30) in urban areas; LTE, H+, and H elsewhere. Great coverage overall.

Definitely a locked phone. If you know the carrier this phone is locked to, either you can call that provider to obtain the free unlock code, or checkout https://cellphoneunlock.net/products/how-to-unlock-lg-g4/ to obtain a code for $9.

Is it the SM-G930W8 model (Settings > About Phone > model number) of Galaxy S7? On my Galaxy S7 edge 4G means H+. Use this app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wilysis.cellinfolite&hl=en) just to be sure.

What model number (H918, VS995, etc) is it?

I haven't noticed any perceptible change in call quality since switching from Fido. Is the call quality bad when you're at a specific location, or everywhere? In your case, it could be a network (location-specific or not) issue. Better to open a ticket with Fizz Support, and have them resolve the issue.

Were you able to replicate this issue using a different phone?

Chat Bubble is the quickest (60-90 mins) option in my experience, and Facebook Messenger the slowest (1-3 days) Didn't try the Contact Form.

I ported over from Fido late-October, and it was up and running in 30 mins. However, I received no confirmation whatsoever from Fizz, but my services were operational as expected. Other users have reported their time-to-port here:…

Only the iPhone 5 models numbers ending in FH19, FH1C, FH1D, FH1F, FH1G, FH1H have support for AWS, which Fizz (Videotron) mostly uses. Tap Settings > General > About and check if your serial number ends with any of these four-digit combinations. Source:…

A few people on Reddit have reported successfully being able to use their data on iPhone 5. Check out this thread for details: https://www.reddit.com/r/FizzMobile/comments/9wz1lo/got_data_working_on_an_iphone_5_ios_11/ TL;DR: provision the APN using appropriate mobile config (Videotron 28.2.5 NOT 34.1), and restart

Yes, you can use data in the US without incurring any additional cost on the Canada+USA coverage plan. Data roaming needs to be activated for you to be able to access the data on Fizz EXT and US networks.

Got it on my Galaxy S7 Edge.

That's unusual, but not unexpected. Given Fizz hasn't ironed out all the kinks, it's better you reach out to them to make sure the referral is applied to your account. Also, check with your friend/partner to see if your referral shows up on their accounts.

You get an email with the name of the person not long after your referral code is used. Also, the phone number for the person you referred shows up in your Fizz account under My Profile > Referral Bonuses with a $25 pending grayed out,
