Hi Meyer, You should think of FIZZ as a pre-paid provider. To call US you have 2 options: 1) Have a plan that contemplates the US. (I personally do pay for CANADA + USA and my phone works fine across the boarder. It also enables me to call US phone numbers from within Canada with no issues) 2) Buy an add-on or travel…

@Mike, the source link is right there in my post. The Nord is the new phone from OnePlus. Pre-Launch is tomorrow. So, before coming blasting out that people are wrong please read everything and check sources. Sorry to say, but in this case you’re the one wrong since you’re mentioning other phones.

Yes, it will work. I just took a look at the full specs and it does contemplate the band we have here in Canada. Later on, please come back and tell us how you like the phone. It will be a great one! Congrats! https://m.gsmarena.com/oneplus_nord_5g-10289.php

Hello Folks! Here is my code EIHNN (all caps letters).

It should be OK. The credit kicks in the 3rd payment. If you'd like to chat to FIZZ support go to the community page below and click on the green chat bubble. https://www.fizz.ca/faq/how-does-the-community-work

Sorry, there's no "suspend" option. You would have to either cancel your subscription and return the modem and them re-subscribe after you're back or change your plan to a lower option while you're out to minimize payment.

The strong winds today are generating power outages in some areas. You may be affected depending on your address. You can check on the map in Hydro Quebec's website to see if there's an outage close to you: https://poweroutages.hydroquebec.com/poweroutages/service-interruption-report/index.html

It seems the issue is on the system because the addresses are based on the installed network and it takes into account the wiring limits. In this case it seems when the operator was creating the addresses in the system he/she didn't include all the existing floors. Not all operators have the right to create addresses and…

Exactly. The strong winds did cause some outages. It was restored fast though. For future reference you can check the status on hydroquebec's website here: https://poweroutages.hydroquebec.com/poweroutages/service-interruption-report/index.html Cheers!

It’s clear and the answer is yes. You can choose the band to be used. But honestly, you can just set up the band steering so you don’t have to worry about that. You can also adjust band steering using Fizz Wi-Fi modem user interface: 1) Open a web browser on any device and navigate to: 192.168.0.1 2) Connect using the…

So, what our friends want to say is Yes, you can have only 1 band for your guest wifi. You elect which you want.

Is the billing address for this MasterCard that you are using inside Fizz coverage area? If it’s not, I’m pretty sure it will give an error.
-
Yup, and for mobile there’re some nice data upgrades too. If you have both, mobile and internet you can benefit from both.

You can also try reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/FizzMobile/comments/ar9sq4/data_gift_exchange_%C3%A9change_de_donn%C3%A9es_%C3%A0_donner/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app

You are right.

If you are a DIYer and have a friend in the Gatineau area you could try setting up a nanostation on the other side of the river and transmit the internet signal wireless. Oh, you'd have to be in the line of sight of this friend also. :)

It's on the front of the modem: https://dimelo-answers-production.s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/324/96799365f7e1fb20/image_original.png?640c091

Question to you: Can you be in Ottawa/Quebec for 1 week every 3 months? You could maybe try to salvage your Fizz.
-
Hey Alain, The US roaming should only stop working if you are in the US for 3 months. It doesn't seem to be the case for you. I don't think there's anything else that us in the community can do to help other than direct you to Fizz support. Please do that with patience because it usually is not a pleasant experience, but…

I'd suggest that you buy a travel add-on package to the country that you are going to. This would be best. If it's USA, then just go with the Canada + USA plan and that's it. Let us know if this solves your concern or not, ok?
-
Yup! Confirmed! I just got a referral notice today. It's back on Fizz Mobile! :)
-
Great! Let us know your experience afterwards, ok?
-
Nope, just checked. Referral only working for Fizz internet, not Fizz Mobile. :( Let's bear with it for now...
