Have been using the home internet service 120mbps for a couple of months now. No issues other than the modem having WIFI issues. Connected a router to it and all is well. Speed is 130 Mbps at the moment :)

Band steering is under 5GHZ settings. Turn it off and Don't forget to give 5ghz wifi another name. 2ghz and 5ghz should not have the same name as far as I know. I will go ahead and add: wifi of Fizz modem is sh.t. I suggest connecting a router to it:)

@René, you mean Fizz would charge me $1 anyway for the voicemail with voicemail upgrade or they wouldn't charge me for it? If the upgrade should remove the voicemail fee, I can say it did not.
-
I applied the voicemail upgrade and Fizz still charged me next month for the voicemail option in my account. I talked to Fizz chat about this and I was told that I can remove the voicemail from my account and apply the upgrade so that I won't be charged $1 dollar for voicemail. Was it a bug? If I apply voice mail upgrade…

I fixed this issue by turning the Wi-Fi off on the Fizz modem and connecting another router to it :)
-
It is not a bug. Same thing happened to me. I was charged for the voicemail even though I have the voicemail. I asked in the chat and I was told that I could remove the voicemail in my account to benefit from the voicemail upgrade. However if I wanted to add the voicemail again, I would have to change my plan which would…

I can apply bonuses to either of my numbers. I was actually able to accidentally apply one of them to my unlimited home internet :) You can remove them next month and apply to the other number as far as I know. but you can also contact customer care and they might help you apply it to the correct number.

If you are talking about the upgrades, I think they appear "pending" till the next bill. I removed the 100MB upgrade and it is still there but it appears pending in my upgrades section.

I would like to think nobody would contact a CSR about kudos :D This is a simple question with a simple answer. And I still do not understand why it is a problem. Is it the point system? I do not wanna feel like a kid who might get punished by parents while I am browsing community forum. If bookmarking questions and…

@Jose L. I can be sure in 5 days :)
-
It seems I was logged out when I first checked :) They are there. Sorry for confusion and thanks for your answer.
-
I just want to get the kudos I gave back. Everybody has their own way helping or going through answers. I am not looking for extra points. I do not care about how much each kudo gets me. I personally do not understand why I would get points for giving people kudos. I should get kudos only when my answer is seen and I am…

Does it still work? Asking for a friend = )
-
Is there a way to make sure that you do not need to read same answers again and again?
-
It is not a bug. It is bad design. You click on "Apply" button and then empty slots start shaking. You need to click the shaking slot to apply.
-
Happened to me. Got fixed the next day :)

I guess I see 120mbps because I already have Fizz 120mbps speed at home.
-
Try 51X Rue Jarry Est. Change X with a number between 1 to 5 =) One has 120mbps for sure. They might have apartment numbers.
-
They still show the 120mbps option for my building. I think it is like it is said on the site. they disable the option they cannot provide at your address.
-
My speed is very good in Montreal.
-
But who needs to fix it?
-
Same for me. it does not.
-
I just have H+. Btw, isn't 4G=LTE?
-
I still don't have LTE in MTL.
-
Has the other person paid the second bill? It might be deducted from your third hill after referring them.
-
No service. MTL
-
Ahahaha! I did not realize I wrote "Homer" :D

I do not wanna alarm anyone about the quality of the home internet service. I am quite happy with it so far. Compared to the mobile service, it is superb. I am mostly curious if this speed loss issue affects anyone else. Yet, even at 30mbps it is stable and good.

I usually get 130M and am generally happy. I just do not wanna have a problem in the future. Mobile service issues kind of scare me.
