In my Web GUI the timezone is wrong by one-hour so the OP is correct. Furthermore, the time cannot be changed. Again the OP is correct. However, I do my time-based scheduling with the App. The App takes the time from the device upon which the App is installed, in my case an iPhone. So the time-based scheduling works fine…

@ Abraham S: yes they give you a combined modem/router To add to my review, I am also on the island of Montreal
-
I've had it for a while now and honestly it's great. The combined router/modem provides less clutter than Videotron's two units and in my apartment I have no power over distance issues. The whole apartment is covered by the signal. Speed it perfect too. I think the internet will be easier and more successful than the…

I like the idea of IPTV since I use a couple of services anyhow. I sincerely doubt that Fizz's budget nor timelines will stretch to that in the immediate future however. More 12+ months I'd imagine. Apart from that, I'd like: - bundled pricing - inter-service loyalty points - speed upgrades
-
Nothing except 120 would interest me to be honest. I am on beta right now and it's pretty cool to be honest.
-
I think someone somewhere a while ago mentioned PayPal as being on the roadmap. If so, I believe you can then use your checking account via PayPal link.
-
Not a bad idea actually Valentin. I think it should be possible to implement. Not everyone would like that however and may find it frustrating. I think I'd appreciate it however.

Hi Martin, This is most likely to be a phone/handset issue and not directly related to Fizz. I suggest you go through your phone settings to check for inconsistencies. Perhaps there was some software update done? What handset and software version are you using? Cheers FizzWiggler
-
Other people here seem to have kindly helped with the frequency bands and handset compatibilities. One question to the OP: where are you geographically? If you are in the subscription zone you should not be on Fizz EXT unless you forced your phone onto it or indeed, your handset is incompatible.
-
In upstate NY I had little issues to be honest. Data was somewhat slow but domestic networks often throttle foreign roamers so nothing major there. My trip was 6+ weeks ago bang in the middle of beta.
-
@ Emre, mate it's very poor form to do that. Posting pictures of staff online is invasive and personal. I suggest you rethink your strategies there? This is a community not a knives-out-free-for-all. Also, that works both ways. I'm sure they have access to your details.

Allison that might be so of course in your case and many others but I can assure you the charging philosophy in Canada is unique in the developed world. My point was (specific packages aside) many Canadian operators do charge for incoming X if you do not have have outgoing X packages. As for Fizz and the OP's question, I'm…
-
Canada is somewhat unique in that you, in essence, pay to receive texts and calls. This practice has somewhat been masked by packages/subscriptions for calls or texts. If you have a package for outgoing X you should not get charged for incoming X. Without a package, I do believe you'll get charged.

@ Chaim S Just to point out * SMS 2-factor authentication * Premium messaging like twitter etc Are 95% likely to be the same problem. Messages from companies are called A2P (Application to Person) and the business is run by aggregators. I suspect aggregator links are coming online little by little. (Ex-aggregator…

'' Unfortunately, no one from the team is taking the time to go over there and take control of the subreddit and start answering questions '' With respect Patrick I can confidently assure you they are all busy! Reddit is not their platform either. In more fallow times perhaps they would respond over there mind. I agree…

@ Brent C Nice. I just hauled mine out of the box and plugged it in. Was not too worried about playing with it. Bridge mode sounds good.
-
There is some info here about the launch phase: https://fizz.ca/en/node/2171
-
I used express twice and got it within the two hours both times. Island of Montreal - not far from Centre Ville
-
Thats very malchanceux Pierre-Olivier. I'd be very annoyed. Sorry for your trouble sir!
-
@ Sebastien P I'm a beta internet user and I'm very impressed to be honest. Having no issues. Internet networks easier than mobile networks maybe!
-
@ Brent C Yes onboard the router itself would be best. At source you know. It may not be the easiest job in the world to connect another WiFi router to a combined modem/router such as Fizz offer. I'm a mobile guy however not really an internet guy so limited knowledge there to be honest.
-
Starting next week: - Ireland - UK - Netherlands I'll report back
-
I'm not sure I follow you Tore. Are you referring to residential internet or a home fixed line? Fizz do indeed offer residential internet but it's not over the mobile network.
-
@VC You are very welcome @Seong S. O2 UK went down yesterday for a whole day; 32 million subcribers and all hosted networks: Sky, giffgaff, Lyca, Lebara and Tesco to name just a few. Not unheard of! Not amazing either, I know!
-
@ VC You are very welcome. Just for context, my old employer O2 UK went offline for a whole day yesterday. 32 million subscribers offline. Google it! Heads will roll. Millions in lost revenue. It's not amazing, certainly not and I'm not suggesting it is, but it does happen. So many connected elements makes it hard to a)…
-
I believe all Fizz residential internet is sold as unlimited so from their PoV they are maybe not too bothered about developing such a tool. There are tools and apps you can install yourself if you want to monitor it. Challenging across multiple devices however
-
End to end from calling mobile to called mobile a call has to pass through at least 25-30 network elements/boxes. Even if some of these are shared, not all of them are. Mostly in sub-brands, what is shared is the radio network. Lots of other things can be congested also and they may not be shared. Basically, Kenny is…

Hi Shuo, Yes that's it more or less - however I believe it's not possible to subscribe in all of Quebec just a lot of where people live and also some parts of Ontario. You are dead right about the so called Big 3 - Rogers, Bell, Telus - but they also have Big 3 prices. FYI everyone - you can possibly try to game to system…
-
Yep it is! I helped two non-techie mates set up their Fizz accounts last week on iPhones X and XS and both were fine and straight away up and running. Apple is a beautiful thing!
-
Hi Shuo, I see from your pics you are trying to subscribe/deliver SIMs to Toronto. This is outside the subscription zone and so if you actually live there you cannot subscribe. For more details look here. https://fizz.ca/en/faq/subscription-area-and-coverage-area It’s not Fizz’s fault. It’s a global telecoms rule.…
