I got the email just now, but my wife hasn't yet. She subscribed about 1 month before me. I am on the US plan and she is not, no idea if they are prioritizing based on that. Also a friend got migrated last night and he subscribed on the US plan also about 1 or 2 months before me (Dec 2018 or Jan 2019 instead of me at Feb…

No e-mail yet, and joined in February 2019. My wife also joined in January 2019, no email yet either. We both have the red-bolt SIM since July 2022. Based on Code_KRUEW above, seems like it is going in some sort of order perhaps.

sent you 2GB last night, good luck and hope you are symptom free and better in no time!
-
Just LTE came back last 2 minutes, on Telus Fizz EXT here. All good again.
-
I am seeing same problem. It was working up to an hour ago. In Alberta and it worked yesterday and until an hour ago. Now LTE vanished and no data enabled. Phone calls still work. Hopefully will fix itself soon again.
-
In addition to the above, make sure you double check you have the correct APN settings (mobile.bm) for Fizz. When in home coverage area, the default APN built into the SIM works (media.ng), but that one doesn't work on any EXT or roaming network. https://fizz.ca/en/faq/what-are-fizz-network-settings-apn
-
Confirm if you are using the correct APN, mobile.bm? If you use the default APN stored on the SIM card, the media.ng APN, will work when on the "home" network but not on any EXT or roaming network.
-
You won't actually pick your plan until you activate the SIM. When you ordered the SIM it is just to give you the pricing but doesn't actually set the plan up. So no worries :)
-
I confirm it's the same for me...... have let them know via facebook message also.
-
Not specifically as of this morning, but same issue as last weekend. I leave the Fizz home coverage and Rogers based EXT works fine but the Bell EXT is very questionable. Data sometimes works after a few hours, sometimes not, sometimes it shows Roaming, sometimes not. Same as I saw last weekend but a month ago everything…

The downtime risk is only intermittently on July 31st (possibly), not all the days. So that doesn't seem bad at all. The other days are for website functions that will be unavailable, not the network. Hopefully this puts Fizz well on the way to solving the major issues!
-
Sometimes I have seen the "R" roaming logo in my coverage area, but only briefly. The only time I have seen "R" stay on was in the USA (I have the Canada+USA plan). In Canada whether on Fizz EXT Rogers or Bell, I never see the "R" roaming logo. Do you folks see "R" more often or consistently even in Canada? I am not sure…
-
Seems that after about 4:30pm data on Bell popped back on without any intervention on my part (was driving in Bell only area and had service, but no data, then it started working after not working for 3 or 4 days). Hooray, I guess!
-
Fizzy, thanks for the tips. Unfortunately I have tried all these things and asked someone back in videotape territory to try forcing their phone to Bell tower as well. They see the same, no data on Bell. On Rogers towers it works. So we wonder if Bell has pulled the trigger on blocking roaming data from Videotron ahead of…
-
Thanks, I will keep pushing. What is frustrating about it is they should know from the network side that phones are having issues connecting to different towers / cell sites and it should be automated. Surely there are systems in place that should detect this sort of behaviour. Rather than arguing with customers who have…
-
Yup, happens to me too when on airplane mode or off. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. But generally same goes for incoming phone calls when phone is on, too. Usually works, sometimes a strange error message about the customer being unavailable, and also no voicemail. I assume at some point it'll get fixed during…

I was in upstate NY last weekend and everything worked, could connect to both AT&T and T-Mobile in Saranac Lake and on the way there from the border. I have the Canada+USA plan. Make sure you have the right APN as well as data roaming otherwise the data won't work. To confirm, did you have Emergency Calls Only, or…
-
I did not get notifications via SMS for voicemail. They came with the voicemail icon and disappeared once you listened and either saved or deleted it.
-
I've been told it's a known issue and to work around feel free to pick Bell when outside of Fizz home subscription area. At least that seems to work for me. ---- "I want to inform you that is a known situation and our team are working on it."
-
Was your previous plan before changing to the $26 one more expensive? The email about the price change with discount is based on your current plan before the new choice you made on Apr/2 comes into effect. If this is the case, when your new $26 plan takes effect at your next plan renewal, it should be that minus 10%.

Another data point: both my account and my wife's account all show 0 MB usage each day since the outage on April 2nd. This of course is despite us both using data.
-
Thanks for the post. If this truly turns out to be the case, I think it is proof they really have no clue at all about trying to keep customers happy or keeping to their word. Like all the rest of you I imagine, I couldn't care less about the extra 10% for three months if it means paying those additional "savings" back in…
-
Yes, just like you. I have HSPA only, and data won't connect. I can make calls and did receive 1 as well.
-
You are right absolutely. They should probably discount the current introductory pricing 25% for next 6 months or even further... and extend beta pricing if you had that. It's a complete joke. Currently I can make outgoing calls, not receive incoming calls, and data won't come online. Also no LTE at the moment either, but…
-
Was fine until just now, about 9:10 am now "emergency calls only". In Kanata.
-
Yes you can, because perks you can gift or apply to any account even one without data. It's like the original 100MB or 250MB "perk" on signup, it can be applied even if you don't subscribe to data. So, you should be able to, but after April 9th.
-
You have 2GB, and a 2GB rollover, and a 1.66GB rollover, but see how the >> arrow is pointing about half way through the 1.66GB rollover, as you have partially used it, so you have about 4.81GB left which looks to be correct. Hope that clarifies it.
-
I see the same... March 25th 164 MB of data usage when the phone didn't work from 8AM to 10PM and I didn't use it at all outside of those times. LOL what a joke.
-
Yes. Ottawa. HSPA only, no LTE. Incoming calls not working still.
-
It was coincidence. I did nothing and it came back as well about 15 minutes ago.
