Just for curiosity, I also tried using my iPhone as a personal hotspot today just to test and it worked just fine. It might be a configuration issue.

The sim cards are shipped through purolator, not canada post. The delivery is usually a lot faster. But I had terrible experiences using purolator in the past. I hope they are delivering it to the right address. I’ve seen other threads about Similar issues, it might be worth checking them out.

This is so backwards. Like, it’s punishing someone for using an upgrade, since there will always be better upgrades at a higher level. I wish they let users discard upgrades they don’t want anymore, at the cost of loosing it for good. I know these upgrades are an extra at no cost, I just with they had a policy that pushed…

I believe Allison means that perks are a one time bonus while upgrades are applied every cycle, like stated somewhere in the solution hub. But there is a note there saying that fizz can change the upgrades without notice, so they are not that permanent in that sense.

I'm not sure if perks and upgrades work the same, but if they are, the regular data of your plan will be used first. This is what I'm seeing since I applied the upgrade.

I just got to level 2. It seems like I can replace the 250mb upgrade with the 500mb from the interface. I might be the same bug from before that wasn't letting me select the upgrade. I'll continue trying to replace it.

Both accounts were activated last week and the number was already saved into my contact list. It seems like it was a temporary issue, it's working now.

If you’re not on a beta plan, you could create a new account, order a new sim and activate it using your old number. If you time it with the end of your current cycle, you should be able to get the introductory plans with no extra cost (other than the new sim)

Also, I was a bit hesitant to move to fizz before, but I asked the firends and colleagues who are with videotron how good the coverage was, and they were all pretty happy with it. So I see a lot of potential for this newly started carrier, I’d stick for a little longer before changing back so quickly.

Don’t you guys find it unfair that it’s not possible to replace an upgrade? Like, technically there will always be something better at a higher level. So picking up something is like beijg punished for nor waiting for something that will always be on the horizon.

Yeah, I wish they told upfront what the upgrades are. Also, I’m curious about those badges as well. Like, If we knew what they were, we could focus on doing whatever is needed to get it (Specially if they unlock points or extra upgrades)

Your account is probably not fully activated yet. It might take a couple days when you're porting your number over. You'll get an e-mail with your contract once everything is finalized. After that you'll get an option on your profile page with your referral code.

I had issues with my iPhone because it didn't update the carrier settings automatically after I swapped the sim cards. To force the update, go to settings > general > about. You should get a pop up asking if you want to update the carrier settings.

I believe I only saw an update on my data usage the day after I activated my account.

The meter is just a 3 value indicator (good/moderate/running low). It’s not proportional to the amount of data you have used. The total amount of data left is right underneath the meter. And you can click to check details of your usage somewhere there as well.
