Correction to my original post, the $40/mo for a 10GB/mo plan is if you bundle with home internet, otherwise is $50/mo. As does Fizz, Videotron highlights the lower price in big characters and then the consumer must surf through the weeds to find the mobile-only price. For a company that promotes itself as being different…

Hello @Katoub, if I understand correctly, you want to port a phone number associated with an account that doesn't have your name on it. Carriers port phone numbers only when the account information given by the new carrier matches that with the previous carrier. It is for security purposes as it is a common part of…

Hello @Ilariam9, I have experienced the same issue. Below are some suggestions. are you in a basement or concrete building, or in a valley or near the edge of the subscription area? do you have the device set to the Fizz APN settings...sometimes it is beneficial to delete the Fizz APN and re-add it deselect the automatic…

Thanks, I will put it to good use. Happy Fizzing

Hello @Rene C. #19895 , if you want to switch to Fonus, their SIM is available in Canada on those big websites that start with A and eB and I know of one retailer in the Ottawa area that sells their SIMs. The price is in USD for the monthly plan so you'll need a credit card and expect currency exchange charges and fees.
-
And hopefully Fizz will join the other carriers in offering better deals in August/September. But we'll see.
-
Hello @Rene C. #19895 , I previously looked at Fonus Mobile. It is a data only offer, calling and texting is via an app, it is a US-based company and doesn't allow tethering/mobile hotspot if you want to share with another mobile device, computer, etc. Canada doesn't have the population density like the US, that is why any…

Hello @Whizz, it would be much more efficient if Fizz were to just compile a list of everyone with the older SIMS and send everyone a new VoLTE SIM.
-
Hello @A7740, cheers for offering to gift your surplus data. If you have any remaining and decide to gift some to me, my code is 73TF9. Happy Fizzing.

Thanks for the data.
-
Hello @Anaala , also note that if your smartphone has a data saver feature, this sometimes interferes with the Mobile Hotspot.
-
Hello @Anaala, Fizz allows you to share the data in your mobile plan with another device, i.e. laptop, tablet, another smartphone, etc. You need a smartphone with a Mobile Hotspot feature and you should be able to connect the other device via either WIFI or USB cable. USB cable is more secure, the WIFI requires good…

Hello @PF_Ref_D2U9A , I did not notice that, thanks for pointing out the distinction. Requiring a two-year contract to get that pricing is vital information and should not be hidden in fine print with a lighter colour text. This is not customer-friendly behaviour This would be my feedback to Fizz on such practices. @Whizz

Hello @Tudor P. , it may seem odd but check the APN settings of your device, whether data is set on and roaming enabled and if you have a mobile data limit set/triggered on your device. If all is as it should be, reboot, try again, reset network settings to factory and re-install the Fizz APN settings, reboot.
-
Hello @Gerry K. , clear the memory cache for the messaging app on your device and reboot. If this does not resolve the issue, another way to contact Fizz Customer Service is to log in, go to My Settings, Contact Form and submit your complaint, this exchange occurs by the email address registered on your account. Best of…
-
Hello @Amy G., I suggest you reach out to Fizz Customer Service and request one. Another option is if you do not receive one before your trip, buy one, switch over your number and ask Fizz to credit you the purchase amount.
-
Hello @fizzcolom, if you have a Canadian card and address that matches the Fizz criteria, it should work.If you submitted a complaint through the website then you will have to wait or try again. You can also try the @Whizz here in the forum, though it is not an official method of contacting Customer Service. Best of luck.

Hello @Bubba, if the cable coming in to your house was damaged, it will need a technician for the repair. You can log in, go to My Settings, Contact Form and submit a request there. If it is another coax cable going to your modem that was damaged, just replace it, but I think you mean the cable coming in to your house.
-
Hello @UsedToWorkForBell, you can re-activate your service, log in, go to My Settings, Contact Form and submit your request with details or use the link to reactivate service.
-
Hello @Sharif, the best action is to order Fizz and have it set up before, or at least the end date after, you disconnect the other service. Fizz is not a re-seller of Videotron services, Quebecor Ltd. own both Videotron and Fizz so they are sister companies. Fizz is the discount carrier, the same as Lucky is the discount…
-
Hello @Krevaan, that is very frustrating. I've had mixed experience with Fizz Customer Service, like any company some CSRs are better than others by experience, knowledge, time on the job, etc. If you have a Support Ticket, send another complaint through the Contact Form and see if another CSR picks it up, ask to escalate…

Hello @mcaron11, do you have mobile network roaming and data roaming 'on' on your device? If not, reboot your device after switching on. And as others have pointed out switching between automatic and manual mobile network selection and choosing another provider may resolve it as well. Best of luck.

Hello @David S. 80352, not all North American devices are 100% compatible with every provider around the world. Chances are it will work, just not on all frequencies. Buying a local SIM is generally a better idea when traveling outside North America. Another option is to use a WIFI calling/texting app if you will have good…
