I still have not found a solution. It is more of a preference thing than anything. I am in the 613 area code for any other provider, but it appears that Fizz only has access to 343 numbers. I may just keep my 514 number.

#31# was the best solution. Although it's disappointing that Fizz doesn't offer this feature. My coworkers with other providers are able to restrict their numbers quickly online through their account. Fizz said this is not an option at this time.

Sadly, I have tried that and when I go to Call Settings, I only get the option of Other Call Settings and in there, there is nothing about caller ID and such

I work with the elderly and purchasing phones on ebay and kijiji isn't really an option for most, especially for those (many) who don't have family to help them. Given the attractive pricing of the service, a way to purchase refurbished phones would open up the service to a lot of people. I'd imagine most of us on here are…

I was thinking of a partnership, not Fizz actually selling the phones themselves. It is understandable for them not to want to get into subsidizing phones and dealing with warranties etc, but a partnership with a reputable reseller would be huge value added and I think go a long way to attract people who aren't as…

Agree, that would be a great idea. My S9+ just tanked and I'd love to be able to buy a phone from Fizz full price or a marketplace on here of phones I already know currently work on the Fizz network.

I'm in Ottawa and I'm gonna be looking to Freedom to see what they offer.

I'd imagine more than a few people are looking to switch. Losing a full business day without service is unacceptable- luckily, I have a work phone to use. Even at these prices, you still need to provide a reliable service.

A full day without service here in Ottawa too.

Could you ship it to work?
-
Absolutely. I'm currently doing that. You don't have access to all the info on the calls and texts, just how much is being used. Totally doable.
-
Sometimes in MTL the official Canada Post address is Montreal and sometimes it's your borough. For example, Ville St. Laurent is definitely considered Montreal, but not according to Canada Post. Maybe the shipping company doesn't recognize Cote-St-Luc?
-
Whereabouts in Ottawa? Could you ship it to work? I had two sent to Old Ottawa South. Lol. The shipping company lost the first two and I had to re-order them. You may be just outside of the 'technical' coverage area.
