Definitely helping folks on the forum. it is slow - 3 pts per post - but it can accumulate quite a bit, on the order of, say, 300 pts after 100 replies, and 3,000 pts after 1,000 replies — not even counting badges, which can boost you up even more. Otherwise, buying a new phone thru Fizz instead of thru the OEM works too.

You can also use Canada+USA coverage area, although the cost for that might be heavier. You should compare between that and paying for int’l calls on a call-by-call basis.

Really disappointing. It went up for me around 7:50am but I’m sure it has gone down since. This is just as disappointing as the Rogers downtime. Why are installing rogue or untested software updates even considered permissible?
-
Seems like it’s fixed, but still, even a minute of downtime can ruin things.
-
Likewise. Can’t do outgoing calls.

Having the same issue here on my phone. WTF Fizz.

Strongly agreed. It makes no sense how data sharing is limited to some types of data -- at the end of the day, data is just data, and is used in the same way, It's like "some data is more equal than others".
-
Cool! Looking forward to it.
-
Thank you for mentioning this! The expiration system makes no sense -- 30 days to use extra data? What if I'm working from home this month?
-
Same. Makes no sense how some data is giftable and other types not.

For Fizz Mobile... as long as you don't require customer support and prefer a more self-directed experience it's perfect. The 20GB for $58 price is so much better than Robellus ($65).

Seems like it's not just you, from what I've heard the recent downtime is present because "there are some technical works ongoing in your area". I believe it's happening at Griffintown as well as Nun's Island, no idea on whether it is present elsewhere or no. No ETA on when it'll be fixed.

Cool! Thanks -- sharing is caring!

Technically if you're heading to Ottawa and you stick around there or the area around Hwy 417 leading there, you should still have coverage since it's Fizz coverage and not partner (EXT) coverage. Otherwise yeah, you'll need a travel add-on or pay-as-you-go.
