On an old iOS version, you can get data working using this profile (visit from you phone and follow on screen instructions). If your phone is jailbroken, you can also follow instructions I had documented in this reddit post. Let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

More details are required to help you. Did you accidentally turn data off, do you have proper APN settings, which phone do you have, which OS are you using?

Any decent router that supports AC should do the trick, I bought a refurbished Asus RT-AC68U and am getting great speeds and coverage on both 5 and 2.4 ghz.
