I am a desktop guy. So it is ok for me, for now. TV is connected with a cable too. If I need it in my kitchen, I might start thinking to use my router again.

your welcome. I am not using my data. My plan is 1 GB and my monthly usage is never reached 250MB :))) And because of roll-over, upgrades, and perks, I always ended with 4-5GB data. :))

I changed from bravo telecom to fizz last month. I wish, I changed far earlier. Samething happened to me too. After the modem connect to the internet, it takes around 25-30 min for update-restart-update-restart ritual :))

I always go to this page, wait a min. Then a "question mark" (?) pops up and I click it.

I might need a wifi extender too. Any advice? Fizz wi-fi modem is not that good as my previous router. Only 3 bars in my bedroom, no wi fi in the kitchen and imagine that, I am just living in a 3 1/2 apartment in downtown.

No, you don't need an active internet connection to install Fizz. However, if you close early you will be without internet.
