Yep you should check your APN. This is what allows you to use data and/or send SMS with pictures. Hint: SMS with pictures are called MMS! https://fizz.ca/en/faq/what-are-fizz-network-settings-apn

Folks loads of companies use chat or online forms as the primary method of supporting customers. I'm not saying I love it but if I see a reduction in cost passed on to me as a mens of sharing their own reduction in costs, I'm happy. I only communicate with KLM using WhatsApp for instance and I've found it fine. IMHO…

I corrected the typo: I meant to say the more you sPend I added some travel add-ons and a data add on one month and I saw a change in my points, without doing anything else. That's all I mean. Hope this helps.
-
I guess it a loyalty related feature Jia. You are correct, the more you contribute the more point you earn. Also, I believe the more you spend per month through packages or add-ons will also contribute. I've noticed this myself through the points changes in my profile. This is not a super-scientific answer mind you!

Really? Copy and paste a phone network? Wow. Everyone let’s do this! Great ideadans Why SMS I receive are split in blocks of 64 characters? Commentaire de FizzWiggler G. décembre 2018

@Emre How dare you? FizzWiggles is my real name. My parents were hippies! MMS is an SMS/text with a built-in multimedia file like picture or video. They are treated differently by different boxes in the phone network.

Hi Chris, 10c for calls and 5c for SMS everywhere in Canada. I'm not sure where I saw this but I think it was during an add-on. Data is not allowed out of the wallet I think. Hope this helps Finn

Ok, I guess you have to launch a chat so Jean. That's weird. Possibly a phone issue but more likely a network issue. Sorry I cannot be of more help
-
Have you received any SMS ever? Is it intermittent reception or 100% off?
-
What kind of handset are you using Jean? Android or iOS Apple? For SMS (not RCS or iMessage) the APN is broadly irrelevant. APN is for data and MMS. Let me know and I can try help your further. FizzWiggler

Yep Allison is correct Lindsay. Coverage zone and subscription zone are not the same. Canadian telco rules. Similarly Freedom Mobile clients out West (AB, BC) cannot subscribe in QC or NS etc.dans No address is in the shipping zone? Not even Toronto?! Commentaire de FizzWiggler G. novembre 2018

Ha ha! Fair enough René D. However, come back to me in four months and if you are still outside the subscription zone let me know how that's going for you! Best of luck with it anyway :)
-
À mon avis t'as besoin du NIP. Sans le NIP il serait impossible d'y accéder. Il faut parler à l'équipe CSR et ouvrir un billet avec eux.
-
Hi Sarim, The important question is not so much if there is coverage but if you are in the subscription area. Unless you are in the latter you cannot sign up to become a Fizz subscriber. This is due to rules on network sharing that all Canadian networks are subject to. Here is an example of having coverage but not being…
-
Slight polite correction: as long as you live in the subscription zone.
-
Very fair response Allison. I'm a beta tester but I kept my orignal provider too, for the moment. The Fizz prices are unbeatable currently in the market and if you've patience while issues get sorted - vous en allez profiter. Switching anything to a Beta version if it's mission critical is maybe not a prudent choice. (See…

Merci…

Check your email.....you should have received this too if you were a beta tester

Hi Marwan, You won't incur charges for usage of a Canada-wide plan anywhere in Canada so Marwan, Tim is correct, you'll be fine. He is also correct about using your package mostly out of the subscription zone. The subscription zone exists for that reason: if you live outside of it or spend most of your time outside of it,…
-
Hey Tim, I just had a look and yes, the price you sign up at is the price you'll pay forever. Beta was different since it was agreed and explicit that the price was for 3-months. The introductory price plans will be ''grandfathered'' as long as you need. No time limit. NB: You'll only keep the price provided you do not…

Yep detailed elsewhere Franco. Integrating the aggregators bit by bit I reckon.dans Why am I not recieving any SMS from any short code number? Commentaire de FizzWiggler G. novembre 2018

Very good catch - I stand corrected. eSIM powers Apple Watch. I guess no is your answer then Franco, not for now.
-
Interesting question Franco, here's my proposal. It really should not matter. An Apple Watch is LTE and so is Fizz. The Fizz network does not care what device or device type connects to it provided it's using the same frequency bands as the network offers. Is your Apple Watch not working on Fizz?
-
The phone brand nor the OS should not matter. An APN is network specific. I guess you should have got a configuration message from Fizz. Go to messages and tap the three dots in the top-right corner and see configuration messages. You can install them from here. Hey Prabhjot, Fair question to be honest but here is my response: - Fizz is run by Vidéotron who in turn is owned by Quebecor who have a market cap of around $5bn. Not a small player - How can you trust anyone at first? I was a very early adopter of both AirBnB and Spotify when both were also essentially Beta around 8-10…

Hi Jiong, It's absolutely possible (but unlikely and unfortunate) that you could have a defective SIM. It might also be incompatibility of your actual cellphone itself. Not all phones worldwide work on all possible frequency bands. A similar question was posted here:…dans Why can't I activate the SIM card on the Adroid phone? C'est bizarre ça, Joel. Le gateway entre les réseau ne comprends pas le réseau d'origine. Pour moi ça fonctionne bien pour les appels de Rogers, Fizz, GIffGaff (UK) et Fido.

Hello, I tried both my lines under each circumstance - busy, unreachable and no answer. Voicemail on both phones under each circumstance is working fine. I reckon there was a charging issue on the actual voicemail calls so they suspended the service until this was sorted. I say this since, I saw something somewhere else…

I am also now having a nightmare with MS Outlook for Mac and the Antidote software. Since the upgrade to both the OS and Outlook it does not work anymore - interconnection not possible. Druide, the maker of Antidote, are asking people to contact MS themselves in order to put pressure on!! Nightmare as I use that 100 times…

Voicemail on one of my phones is working fine; whether you call from Fizz or another network. Calls in and out are working fine too on this number. On the other line; voicemail is not working but calls in and out are. It's a strange one but I am sure they are working on it since there are quite a few posts about this at…
