Correct. You can only have up to 2 sims active at the same time. All such phones support 1 physical + 1 esim, some (Apple, Pixel) also support 2 esims at the same time.1 -

This is nothing special, pretty much all phones have it. It's just a question of where they are locating it in the settings menus. The the codes are more universal, they work the same on all phones.1 -
